Scope and contact

Messi & Ronaldo: By the Numbers is the publishing identity responsible for this independent football statistics website. The site does not currently offer user accounts, comments, purchases, or a contact form. Privacy questions can be sent to info@messiandronaldo.com.

Hosting, security, and technical records

The site is hosted on Vercel. Hosting and security systems may process request information such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, requested URL, referring page, timestamps, and diagnostic or security signals to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and investigate failures. Their handling is governed by the Vercel Privacy Policy.

Analytics and performance measurement

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and page usage. Google may process online identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser information, referring pages, and interactions with the site. Browser storage or cookies may be used according to the active configuration and your browser settings. Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy.

Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights are also enabled to measure aggregate page usage and web performance. These services may process request and performance information under Vercel's privacy and product terms.

Error monitoring

When production monitoring is configured, Sentry may receive error, trace, browser, device, request, and diagnostic information needed to detect and resolve failures. Monitoring is used for reliability, not to create user profiles. See the Sentry Privacy Policy.

Site data and Supabase

Supabase stores the structured football records and editorial milestone content used to render this website. The application reads that content through server-side services. It does not provide a browser-side Supabase account, login, profile, or visitor submission flow.

YouTube embeds

Some milestone pages offer a YouTube video. The page initially shows a local preview and does not create the YouTube iframe until you choose to load the video. After that action, the video uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain. YouTube and Google may then receive request, IP address, device, browser, and playback information and may use browser storage under their own policies. Privacy-enhanced mode does not mean that no information is processed.

Information you send by email

If you email the site, the message may include your address, name, message content, source links, and technical headers added by your email provider. This information is used to respond, investigate a correction or rights concern, keep necessary editorial records, and protect the site from abuse. It is retained only as long as needed for those purposes and applicable obligations.

Google AdSense status

The site currently includes an AdSense account meta tag for site association. It does not currently load the AdSense publisher script, request AdSense ads, display AdSense ads, or set advertising cookies through an AdSense integration. This policy will be reviewed and updated before advertising is enabled.

External links and your choices

Source links and embedded services lead to third-party websites with their own privacy practices. You can use browser controls to clear or block cookies and other storage, although doing so may affect analytics or embedded media. You may email us to ask about information included in your correspondence or to raise a privacy concern.

This page will be updated when the site's services or data practices materially change. The date at the top records the latest substantive review; it is not changed solely to make the policy appear newer.
